This proto-breakdancing by a Cuban girl in Havana in 1930 is a marvel to watch: fifty-seven seconds of something very strange that seems both culturally and temporally out of place.
It is just one of hundreds of rare archival films from Cuba that someone has assembled on Vimeo under the name “Memoria de Cuba.” They are all worth a look.
