This student railway pass was issued in Bologna in 1941 to Luciano Albanesi. I found it in a small antiques shop in Reggio-Emilia that had a number of his personal effects so presumably acquired them together, perhaps after his death. It includes the issue date as Anno XIX, which was calculated based on the founding of the Fascist state by Benito Mussolini in 1922; as it would turn out, his regime did not survive to the expiration date of this pass.
