Having written recently about the cultural destruction from the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, I was reminded that the worst will only be known once war has receded and the full damage can be assessed.  Between here and there, it takes tremendous bravery to be on the ground in places like Kobani (pictured above) or Raqqa, Syria documenting what Islamic State and other groups are doing right now.  The Wall St Journal has the powerful video below about one group of activists in Raqqa to whom we owe a great debt for what little we know.
