Flying things as you have never seen them before

Having just posted cool videos about flights (in that case, airplanes) and nature (involving all sorts of insane risks) it was with some delight that I came upon a video on the Atlantic that combines the two in exquisite and unexpected ways.  The work is by Dennis Hlynsky, a professor at RISD — where, incidentally, I studied studio photography while at Brown University just up the hill — and traces the flight patterns of insects and birds in ways that are very simple but nothing short of magical.  The one above is of starlings and the one below is of little white bugs.  You can see many more on Dennis Hlynsksy’s Vimeo page.
